Hopefully I’m not the only one out there resisting Christmas music until next week and leaving my end of year lists until the end of the year. Instead I’ve been searching out lots of great new music and looking at upcoming releases for next year.
I’ve loved the spiky new Maggie Antone song ‘The Devil’s Not in Hell’ and the bright new one from Della Mae ‘Magic Accident’.
My other obsession of the week is the brilliantly fun Meels with ‘Willow Song’ which came out last month. Meels is on tour with Molly Tuttle and Kaitlin Butts right now and will be supporting Margo Price next year too. Her new music is inspired by Lucinda Williams and Sierra Ferrell, with a nice touch of indie twee about it too. I’m really looking forward to hearing her full album as I also loved ‘The Wizard’ which was released earlier this year.
