Highway Queens started in 2017 as a personal passion project to discuss new albums by women in Americana and country music.

It has evolved into a place where I share album reviews, live reviews, book reviews and general music-related opinion pieces. Also expect occasional in-depth features on classic albums, including discography deep dives into the solo work of Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.

And boys, please don’t cry that we’ve left you out, you can still listen and read but the truth is highway queens don’t need no king.
